Hunters wanting a Brown Bear, Grizzly Bear or Black Bear hunt should consider one of our highly successful options and locations. We offer both archery or rifle hunts at all of our hunt locations in Alaska. If you are wanting a Brown Bear hunt we have several options for hunters to consider. One of our hunts is conducted on Afognak Island. part of the Kodiak Island chain. This hunt requires a draw and hunters have a a 30% chance of drawing. Afognak offers hunters a remote location with a large population of of big bruins. Our hunters have a 90% plus success rate with the avg. bear taken squaring over 9’. We have bears at this location that will exceed 10’ and there are bears here that will reach 11’. Salmon feeding bears on small streams at close range with archery. an archers dream.

The Alaskan peninsula has the highest concentration of Brown Bears in the State. Our peninsula hunts offer lots of bears and a high density of bears inhabit the two areas we hunt. Plan on hunting numerous salmon streams for feeding bears and there are lots of berry for bears to feed on. Twenty miles of ocean coast line will also offer hunters an opportunity to catch feeding bears scavenging for food along the coast. High opportunity for bears in the 9’ range with 10-11 foot bears available in the hunt units. A 90% plus success rate with an average of over 9’. Archery hunters hunting salmon streams and feeding bears is a perfect fit for this hunt.

Grizzly bear population in the interior of Alaska has exploded. Bears will range in size for 7’6” to 8’6”. We are hunting a predator designated hunt area we are allowed to bait bears because the numbers are exceeding the habit recommended population. Hunting Grizzlies on salmon streams that feed the copper river from tree stands or spot and stalk hunts have been producing 100% opportunity and a success rate that is equally as high.

Black bears are numerous and the limits are very generous. Hunters can take up to 3 bears during a hunt. Bears will range in size from 5’6” to over 7”.
As with all hunts in Alaska hunters need be prepared for unsettled weather and physical conditions will be a benefit to the success of your hunt.
